The World Economic Forum (WEF) Conference, an annual gathering of global leaders, policymakers, and industry stalwarts, commenced with much fanfare in Davos, Switzerland. This year, the Indian delegation has drawn significant attention with the inclusion of two prominent young leaders from Andhra Pradesh—Nara Lokesh and Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu. Representing the dynamic face of Indian politics, their participation underscores India’s commitment to fostering innovation, development, and global collaboration. Nara Lokesh, the General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and a former Minister in Andhra Pradesh is no stranger to discussions on global platforms. Known for his emphasis on technology-driven development, Lokesh is expected to highlight India’s advancements in IT and its potential to be a global hub for emerging technologies. His agenda reportedly includes pitching Andhra Pradesh as an investment destination, focusing on key sectors like information technology, infrastructure, and renewable energy.

During the inaugural sessions, Nara Lokesh emphasized the importance of using technology to address socio-economic challenges. He said, “India’s young demographic and rapid adoption of technology present unparalleled opportunities for global partnerships. Andhra Pradesh, with its robust policies and skilled workforce, is poised to lead this transformation.”Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, a Member of Parliament and the National President of the TDP’s Youth Wing brings a fresh perspective to the table. Representing the aspirations of India’s youth, Rammohan Naidu is expected to focus on inclusive development, rural entrepreneurship, and sustainable growth. His discussions at the WEF are likely to center around empowering rural communities through technology and creating opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).In a panel discussion on sustainable growth, Rammohan Naidu shared insights on India’s efforts to balance development with environmental conservation. “India’s villages are the backbone of its economy. By integrating technology into agriculture and promoting rural entrepreneurship, we can achieve sustainable growth that benefits every section of society,” he remarked. Leaders like Lokesh and Rammohan Naidu’s participation highlights India’s growing influence on the global stage. The Indian delegation, comprising policymakers, industrialists, and innovators, aims to project India as a land of opportunities amid global economic uncertainties. With sessions ranging from climate change to digital transformation, the conference provides a platform for India to showcase its advancements and attract investments. Both Lokesh and Rammohan Naidu are also expected to hold bilateral meetings with global investors and policymakers.
